Day 1 Airport > Sigiriya

On arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our chauffeur at the arrival lounge. Thereafter you will be transferred to the hotel in Dambulla where you will stay 3 nights. Approx. journey time: 4 hours Overnight Stay: Dambulla


Day 2 Sigiriya >Anuradhapura>Dambulla

After the breakfast proceed to the Anuradhapura Ancient City Approx. journey time: 1.5 hours Morning: Tour of Anuradhapura Ancient City Explore the historical city of Anuradhapura which was the capital of a great civilisation for over a thousand years; then for a thousand years more it lay in ruins, overgrown by forest, inhabited only by leopards and bears. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the world’s largest archaeological ‘dig’, a renowned beauty spot and a centre of Buddhist pilgrimage. Evening: Tour of Dambulla Cave Temple Climb up to the temple, which was donated by King Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. to Buddhist monks. Dambulla is a World Heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. The complex of 5 caves with over 2000 square metres of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of painting found in the world. These caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock spanning 14 metres. Overnight Stay: Dambulla


Day 3 Dambulla

After breakfast visit Minneriya National Park Morning: Tour of Minneriya National Park You will travel to Minneriya National Park for a safari game drive. Minneriya National Park gives the opportunity to see herds of Elephants throughout the year. Evening: Tour of Sigiriya The ancient city of Sigiriya has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. The ruins of this ancient rock fortress and former capital lie on 'Lion's Rock' and date back to the 5th century. Ancient gardens with walled terraces and moats still surround the settlement whilst frescoes can still be seen on the rock face. For those with a head for heights, you can climb to the summit of this gigantic rock to see the ruins of Kasyapa's palace. Sigiriya is world renowned for its frescoes, the Lion Stairway, the mirror wall and the lovely water gardens. Overnight Stay: Dambulla


Day 4 Dambulla > Polonnaruwa

After breakfast depart Sigiriya and journey to Polonnaruwa. Approx. journey time: 1.5 hours Morning: Tour of Polonnaruwa Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993. It comprises, besides the Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas, the monumental ruins of the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century. Overnight Stay: Polonnaruwa


Day 5 Polonnaruwa > Kandy

After breakfast depart Polonnaruwa and journey to the central province of Sri Lanka. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendour and magnificence, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. On your way to Kandy, make a stop at a Spice Garden to explore the spices Sri Lanka is famous for. Upon your arrival at the hotel, enjoy a city tour taking in many of the most popular sites around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1807 and visit the Temple of the Tooth, which houses the most sacred religious relic, the tooth of the Lord Buddha. In the evening witness a Cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Approx. journey time: 3.5 hours Overnight Stay: Kandy


Day 6 Kandy

Morning: Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden Visit These stunning garden was once reserved exclusively for Kandyan royalty. Highlights include a fine collection of orchids, a stately avenue of royal palms, the extraordinary, aptly named cannonball fruit tree and 40mhigh Burma bamboo. Another big hit is the giant Javan fig tree on the great lawn, with its colossal central trunk and umbrella-like canopy of branches. Overnight Stay: Kandy


Day 7 Kandy > Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast set Journey to Nuwara Eliya, where you will be visiting the Ramboda Falls and Bluefield Tea Factory on the way, The beautiful town of Nuwera Eliya is set in the heart of Tea country and situated 1890 meters above sea level, where the British succeeded in creating and English countryside. At your convenience commence a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the Nuwera Eliya Town, Market Place, Golf Course, the Hill Club, and drive around this hill station viewing Lake Gregory. Approx. journey time: 2 hours Overnight Stay: Nuwara Eliya


Day 8 Nuwara Eliya

Morning: Trek Horton Plains with picnic breakfast. The plateau comes to a sudden end at World’s End, a stunning escarpment. The walk here is 4km, but the trail then loops back to Baker’s Falls and continues back to the entrance Overnight Stay: Nuwara Eliya


Day 9 Nuwara Eliya> Ella> Yala

After breakfast leave for Yala via Ella and do some sightseeing in Ella area. Evening: commence a private jeep safari in Yala National Park accompanied by a tracker. Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s premier eco tourist destinations is renowned for its variety of wildlife notably its many elephants. It is also home to the spotted deer, sambar, wild buffalo, sloth bear, jackal, mongoose and crocodiles. The peacock is easily the most famous of the birds in this park. Yala has a high concentration of Leopards although seeing these nocturnal carnivores still requires some luck. Approx. journey time: 3.5 hours Overnight Stay: Yala

DAY 10

Day 10 Yala > Mirissa

Leave for Mirissa, where you will be staying for 2 nights. Enjoy surfing in Midigama 15 mins away from the hotel or just choose to explore beach night life in Mirissa Approx. journey time: 2 hours Overnight Stay: Mirissa

DAY 11

Day 11 Mirissa

Early morning 5.30am depart for the Whale watching in deep sea. Approximately it would be a 4 -5 hour journey in the sea. Overnight Stay: Mirissa

DAY 12

Day 12 Mirissa > Wadduwa

Journey to Wadduwa, stopping in the beautiful city of Galle en route. Enjoy a short walking tour here, taking in the colonial buildings that line the streets, and witnessing every day Sri Lankan life. You may also get the opportunity to experience the traditional fishing methods in Sri Lanka when you pass by the Koggala area Approx. journey time: 2 hours Overnight Stay: Wadduwa

DAY 13

Day 13 Wadduwa > Balapitiya > Wadduwa

After the breakfast Journey to Balapitiya, enjoy a boat safari in the Madhu river while you on the ride you may dip your feet in a Fish Spa. After that visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery to see the turtles and spend some time in the beach. Approx. journey time: 2 hours Overnight Stay: Wadduwa

DAY 14

Day 14 Wadduwa > Airport

The tour concludes in Sri Lanka this morning as you transfer back to Bandaranaike International Airport for flight back home. Approx. journey time: 1.5 hours
