Kosgoda has a lot of things going for it, beautiful beaches and excellent waters, theKosgoda Lagoon which is rich in bio-diversity, world famous turtle hatcheries and some fascinating cultural attractions. During Portuguese rule, Kosgoda was significant for its cinnamon production, which was later taken up by the Dutch, then the British and remains even to this day. In many ways the small fishing village with a population of less than 3000 people, is the quintessential island getaway, with establishments catering to diversity of clientele.
